The “boss” was so thrilled with the matured, aromatic speciality that he decided to put it on the market in 1990. The finishing touch for every ERDINGER Dunkel dark wheat beer is a further specialty: the “Bayerische Edelreifung” or double maturity method. After the main fermentation process, we give our beer the time it needs to mature a second time in the bottle. This extra time this allows ERDINGER Dunkel dark wheat beers’ delicious lively nature and the harmonious interplay of its various aromas to fully unfold. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law.

Farmhouse Beers from Donegal At Kinnegar we pair brewing tradition with a contemporary sense of adventure to produce clean, crisp, full-flavoured beers. The brewery is named after the beach beside its birthplace, just north of Rathmullan in Co Donegal, on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Lough Swilly's natural and cultural history is captured beautifully in the Irish and English placenames that mark its coastal features. Beneath the Knockalla Hills lies Scraggy Bay, giving us a local maritime name for a style of beer with a great maritime past.

After significant research Asahi recognised this wasn't what their consumers demanded and in 1987 Asahi Super Dry was born. They brewed a beer to deliver a dry, crisp taste and quick, clean finish. This distinctive dry taste is known as Karakuchi (dry). A beer that would become Japan's No.1 beer.
