Aglianico is a black grape grown in the southern regions of Italy, mostly Basilicata and Campania. It produces a full-bodied wine with firm tannins and high-acidity giving it good aging potential. This Aglianico is a dark, deep ruby red with enjoyable cherry and red berries fragrance followed by a marked vanilla and spicy note. A soft, pleasant mouth feel with nuances of cherry, plum and spice. Pairs beautifully with all roasted red meats and aged cheeses.

Owned by the family Bantegnies for the last 2 centuries, this beautiful Estate is producing traditional Bordeaux red and white. They have during the last 20 years, consolidating the château's reputation for producing the appellation's foremost wines. Château Manon Des Brumes red goes perfectly with roast, beef and light cheeses Wine makers comments: Brilliant and attractive colour, ripe black fruit nose of blackcurrant hints. This Beaujolais-Villages has been made from Gamay grapes and carefully selected for its red and black berry aromas. Fleshy and full-bodied with silky tannins, it is best served slightly chilled with beef, rabbit or cheese.

Masi Campofiorin (75 cl), €19.00

This logo countersigns Masi's expertise in the XXI century in enhancing aromas and tastes using also lightly semi-dried grapes (leggero Appassimento). The original Masi wine made since 1964 using local Veronese grapes and produced with a technique developed by the Masi Technical Group. Rich, intense, with good length and soft tannins.

Nugan Estate Stomper's Cabernet Sauvignon (75 cl), €12.99

Our cabernet vineyard requires more work than the shiraz and it's become a favorite for the birds as the bunches ripen. Stomper has his hands full indeed. We work hard to stress the soils and slow down the ripening of the cab because it helps achieve the flavors we like so much. Daren Owers, our winemaker, reckons our cabernet is the best in the region and praises Stomper for the work he does in the vineyard. Our fruit is destemmed and pressed before going through a lengthy cold soaking. After fermentation, we macerate on the skins for about 10 days to extract soft tannins and deep, rich flavors. There's never any short cuts on the barrel program and this wine sees only French oak, of which 25% is new. Since there are several different parcels on the vineyard and they're kept separate throughout the entire process, putting the final blend together takes several days and is a major team effort. Were really proud of this and hope you like it. PS - this wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Chateau Meaume Bordeaux Superieur (75 cl), €17.99

British owned since 1980, Château Méaume has 38 hectares of vines near the St Emilion/Pomerol area of Bordeaux. The vineyard, ideally situated on the area's clay soil, is planted predominately with Merlot vines. Small areas of Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon add complexity to the blend. Winemakers for generations, Family Sorges acquired Château Haut Médou in 1957. They started with only 6 hectares of vineyards and extended to more than 200 hectares in Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. Drink at room temperature, ideal with powerful roasts, casseroles and strong cheeses.

Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €12.99

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
