For the Steak

  • 4 SuperValu Signature Tastes Irish Wagyu Premium Striploin Steak
  • 4 Hen Eggs
  • Chilli Oil
  • 300g SuperValu Signature Tastes Sprouting Broccoli
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Signature Tastes Teriyaki Sauce
  • Salt and pepper

For the Green Rice

  • Cooked SuperValu Signature Tastes Basmati Rice
  • 3 SuperValu Eggs
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Garlic, chopped
  • 3 SuperValu Spring Onions, chopped finely
  • 1 SuperValu Green Chillies, deseeded and chopped
  • 4 tbsp SuperValu Chopped Coriander

Method

  1. Before cooking, remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes in advance to allow it to come to room temperature.
  2. Choose a medium-sized heavy-based frying pan and preheat it on the stove until smoking hot.
  3. Lightly oil and season the steaks, then place them into the hot pan.
  4. Cook the steaks for approximately 3 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the steaks from the heat and place them on a warm plate. Allow them to rest for 4 minutes.
  6. Cooking times guide:
    • Rare: 2–3 minutes
    • Medium rare: 4–5 minutes
    • Medium: 5–6 minutes
    • Well done: about 10 minutes
  7. Cook the broccoli in the same pan used for the steaks. Toss in a little olive oil and cook in the hot pan for 3 minutes to char. Turn off the heat, then add 60ml of teriyaki sauce.
  8. Fry the eggs sunny side up in a little oil. Finish with chilli oil and a pinch of salt.
  9. For the green rice: scramble-fry the eggs in a smoking hot wok. Once cooked, add all ingredients except the rice and coriander and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the cooked rice and cook for a further 3 minutes, then finish with chopped coriander.
