Today, the lone rider is long gone and the landscape has been transformed by vines but Wally's Hut stands as his legacy. A fresh and vibrant Australian semillon sauvignon blanc with tropical fruit aromas. Crisp and zesty fruit driven palate of lemon and lime with a touch of passionfruit and a crisp, dry finish.
Willow Hill Shiraz Cabernet (75 cl), €8.49
The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are harvested from the best slopes in the vineyards. They then undergo temperature controlled fermentation to preserve the pure fruit character. The wine, once fermented spends some time in oak barrels to add complexity and character to the final wine. The result is a rich full bodied wine with aromas of blackberries, chocolate and spice. The palate is full and round with ripe soft tannins, autumnal fruit, cassis and spicy oak. This is a great all round wine, superb on it own and a great match for traditional roast, tomato based pasta dishes and steak. Enjoy!
