2 shots Bushmills Whiskey
1 shot fresh lemon juice
½ egg white
1 bar spoon cherries in syrup
Dash of bitters
1 large ice cube, for serving

For the Cocktail:

  • 2 shots Bushmills Whiskey
  • 1 shot fresh lemon juice
  • ½ egg white
  • 1 bar spoon cherries in syrup
  • Lots of ice
  • 1 large ice cube (for serving)
  • Dash of bitters

Method

To Prepare the Whiskey Sour:

  1. Add whiskey, lemon juice, egg white, and cherries in kirsch to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Dry shake (without ice) to emulsify the egg white.
  3. Add lots of ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
  4. Strain into a brandy tumbler over one large ice cube.
  5. Finish with a dash of bitters and serve immediately.
