Preparation & Usage
Preparation Instructions The following are guidelines only, all appliances vary. Always grind your beans just before brewing to retain freshness. Use 6g of ground coffee per 100ml of water. Tip: For one 250ml cup use 2 heaped teaspoons, 15g. Grind Size Guide Cafetière: Very coarse Pour overs: Medium Espresso machines: Fine Grind to Required Size. Cafetière: Warm up cafetière first by rinsing it with hot water. Add ground coffee in and fill with hot, not boiling water. Leave it brew for 5 min. Plunge and enjoy. Pour Over: Boil the water (Tip: For best results use filtered water, hot, not boiling) and insert filter into V60 cone or Chemex®. Pour some water through the filter to rinse it. Discard the rinse water, add coffee. Pour enough water to soak all of the coffee (about 1/3 of total water) and wait 30 seconds. Slowly pour the remainder of your water onto the coffee avoiding the wall of the filter and pouring in slow, circular motion in a few intervals. Brewing time (per cup) should be between 2 min and 3 min. Espresso: 16g, 50ml, 25 seconds.
Storage Guidelines
Once opened, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Never refrigerate your coffee. Roll top of the pack down and seal with copper tie to retain freshness.
