Preparation & Usage
How To Prepare Your Ham Brady Family Ham can be sliced and served cold as it is a cooked product. We recommend heating the ham in slices as this is much more efficient and less likely to result in waste. If you would like to heat the whole ham we recommend following the instructions by steaming the whole ham on a wire tray and covering with foil. This should take around 1 hour per kilogram. Ensure the ham is piping hot throughout before serving, and has reached a core temperature of 75ºC. This method will prevent the ham from drying out and result in a deliciously moist ham. Cooking Tips: Place cloves in the water to give an enhanced Christmas aroma. 1. Heat the oven to 200ºC/180ºC Fan/Gas 6. 2. Slice as much ham as is needed and place on a wire rack. 3. Using a clean oven tray, pour some boiling water to reach half the depth of the tray. 4. Place the wire rack with the ham on top of the oven tray. 5. Carefully cover the tray in tin foil so as to allow the ham to be steamed, and so no steam can escape. 6. Once the oven is hot enough carefully place the tray inside and heat for 20 minutes. 7. Check the ham is piping hot throughout before serving.
