Ginger Beer Baked Slow Cooked Ham

2.7kg SuperValu Signature Tastes Hampshire Ham
4 pints ginger beer
2 bottles Buckfast
15 white peppercorns
6 star anise spice
6 bay leaves
4 oranges, sliced
4 tsp treacle
4 tsp mustard
150g muscovado sugar
Directions
- Pop your ham in the slow cooker with your ginger beer, Buckfast, star anise, bay leaves, peppercorns, and sliced oranges, and cook on high for 6 hours or until it hits 75 degrees on your meat probe.
- Discard ham liquid and allow to cool. Then preheat your oven to 180°C.
- Whisk together your treacle, mustard, and sugar into a paste.
- Remove the skin on your ham leaving some of the fat behind and score into diamond shapes. Baste the ham with the paste.
- Bake it in the oven for a good 25 minutes until it's golden brown. In the meantime, keep brushing with leftover glaze constantly.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool, slice, and serve with your favorite sides. Smiles all around!
