Deermuid Cookies

Ingredients
270g SuperValu Plain Flour
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
150g caster sugar
125g butter softened
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
60g fondant icing, cut into circles for eyes
Brown sweets of choice, for antlers
Red Sweets for the nose
20g icing powder
mixed with 1 tsp water to make a paste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180˚C.
- Beat the sugar and butter until pale.
- Roll the dough to a thickness of ¼ inch.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract and combine.
- Cut the shapes out in a heart to make your reindeer face.
- Sieve the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
- Lay the cookies on a baking tray and cook for 6-8 minutes.
- Combine with the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Cool on a raised wire rack and decorate with sweets and colored icing.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour, this will make it much easier to work with.
- Enjoy!
