Preparation & Usage
Preparation - Remove beef from packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before roasting. - Remove sauce sachet and set aside until required. - Brush a little oil onto the surface of the meat and season with sea salt and pepper. - Place onto a hot pan and brown on all sides. Cooking Appliances vary, the following are guidelines only. Pre-heat oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6. - Place into a suitable roasting tin. Place the roasting tin on the middle shelf of the preheated oven. Follow the times below, depending on how you like your meat, ensuring product is thoroughly cooked. Rare: 30 minutes Medium: 35 minutes Well done: 50 minutes Serving Resting: Remove the joint from the oven. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before carving. Place unopened sachet in a small pot of boiling water, simmer for 5-6 minutes. Caution: Be aware of escaping steam when opening sachet, handle carefully to avoid scalding. Carving: Slice thinly using a sharp knife. Serving: Serve with sauce on the side. Pour any remaining juices from the roasting tray onto the meat. Serve on a pre-heated plate. Food Safety Instructions Although all our meat products are cut and packed under strict hygiene conditions, raw meat products may contain bacteria that could potentially cause illness if mishandled or cooked incorrectly. Store raw meat separate from other foods. Wash all work surfaces, utensils, and hands after preparing raw meat. Keep hot foods hot. It is safer to defrost meat in a refrigerator rather than at room temperature.
Storage Guidelines
Keep refrigerated at 0°C to 5°C. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours. Do not exceed the use by date shown on front of pack. Suitable for home freezing, freeze on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before use and use within 24 hours. Do not refreeze.
