Cakes & Desserts Add 4 parts plain flour to 1 part cornflour to create lighter cakes and puddings. Gravy - Blend 1 tablespoon of Cornflour into two tablespoons of meat juices and mix until smooth. - Stir in half a pint of stock and bring to boil. - Allow to simmer for 1 minute, stirring all the time. - Season to taste.
