Triple distilled at the shed distillery of PJ Rigney, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. Grain to glass in the shed distillery; this single batch whiskey has stayed true to Irish whiskey making traditions. Distilled with malted Irish barley, UN-Malted Irish barley & Irish Barra oats. UN-Malted barley imparts a silky mouthfeel when combined with Barra oats creates an intriguing creaminess & spiciness to the finish that truly sets this Irish whiskey apart. Matured in Marsala casks which had previously aged delectable Marsala wines from Sicily in Italy. Nose: Rich notes of clove and honey descend into subtle aromas of sun ripened fruit & toasty caramel. Taste/Palate: Sumptuous, dried fruits, and hazelnuts with distinctive oak spice balanced deliciously with the influences of the delectable Marsala cask. Finish: A delicate sweetness of spiced caramel, roasted hazelnut and raisin that lingers lightly on the tongue.
