Nugan Estate Dreamer's Chardonnay (75 cl), €8.00
Daren Owers, our winemakers, does not enjoy big buttery, oaky chards so we pick our fruit at night to preserve the crisp and bright aromatics and flavors which are present when the fruit is cooler. After the destemming process, we press and ferment the fruit in stainless steel tanks. After the initial alcoholic fermentation we leave the yeast in contact with the juice for 6-8 weeks, stirring every day to build the middle palate texture of the wine. The oak treatment is minimal with this wine and it's all two and three year old barrels, so you can be sure it's crisp and fresh. The critics and our customers have responded well to this approach and we intend to keep it that way. Our mates reckon it's a real summer 'porch punder'! PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
Pata Negra Crianza Red Wine - Do Ribera Del Duero (75 cl), €12.00
From the warmest and oldest hills of our vineyards we have selected the best Tinta del PaÃs (Tempranillo) grapes to make this wine in the traditional way, based on the cultural and family knowledge acquired throughout the last 120 years. An ageing process of 12 months minimum in oak barrels has provided this wine with the roundness and balance we were looking for, hoping you can enjoy an excellent wine. Natural sediments may appear over time because of its youth and natural elaboration process.
