Chateau Haut Medou Bordeaux Superieur (75 cl), €17.99

Winemakers for generations, Family Sorges acquired Château Haut Médou in 1957. They started with only 6 hectares of vineyards and extended to more than 200 hectares in Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. Château Haut Médou has a deep red colour, with a rich nose of black fruits aromas. On the palate this wine has a well-balanced evolution with velvety mature tannins.

The vineyard, ideally situated on the area's clay soil, is planted predominately with Merlot vines. Small areas of Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon add complexity to the blend. Over the years Mêaume has built a reputation for exceptional value. Dark, fruity and well balanced, this wine is ready for drinking now and will benefit from maturing for many years hereafter.
