250g SuperValu Caster Sugar
120g SuperValu Plain Flour
100g SuperValu Butter
70g SuperValu Rolled Oats
80g Demerara Sugar
¼ tsp Cinnamon
60g SuperValu Chopped Walnuts
1 Tub SuperValu Signature Tastes Vanilla Custard
Directions

Ingredients

  • 600g SuperValu Signature Tastes peaches
  • 300g Pink Lady apples
  • 250g SuperValu caster sugar

Crumble Mix

  • 120g SuperValu plain flour
  • 100g SuperValu butter
  • 70g SuperValu rolled oats
  • 80g Demerara sugar
  • ¼ tsp SuperValu cinnamon
  • 60g SuperValu chopped walnuts
  • 1 tub of SuperValu Signature Tastes vanilla custard

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Prepare the peaches by cutting the fruit away from the stone and dicing into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the cores and dice.
  4. Place the peaches and apples into a pan, sprinkle with the sugar and cook over a medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the fruit starts to soften.
  5. Transfer the peach and apple mixture to a shallow ovenproof pie dish.
  6. Blend the flour and butter in a food processor for a few seconds until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. This can also be done by rubbing the butter into the flour by hand.
  7. Stir in the oats, cinnamon, chopped walnuts and brown sugar.
  8. Spread the crumble mixture onto a lined baking tray and bake for 15 minutes until golden. Use a spoon to mix the crumble on the tray every 5 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle the cooked crumble mixture over the apples and peaches in the pie dish. Transfer to the oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown on top.
