Ingredients
400g Dried SuperValu spaghetti
80ml Extra virgin olive oil
4 Garlic cloves, finely chopped & 1 Clove garlic for the garlic bread
4 Shallots, finely chopped
1 Fresh chilli, chopped
1 Lemon, juiced
60ml Dry white wine
35g Flat-leaf parsley, chopped
50g Finely grated parmesan & Grated parmesan to garnish
1 SuperValu baguette
3 tbsp Butter, softened

  • 400g dried SuperValu Spaghetti
  • 80ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 fresh chilli, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 60ml dry white wine
  • 35g flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 50g finely grated parmesan
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

Garlic Bread

  • 1 SuperValu baguette
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • Grated parmesan

Method

  1. Cook spaghetti al dente.
  2. Sauté garlic, shallots, and chilli in olive oil.
  3. Add wine, and boil.
  4. Toss spaghetti with parmesan, lemon, and parsley.
  5. Season.

Garlic Bread

  1. Combine butter and garlic.
  2. Slice baguette, spread with butter, and sprinkle with parmesan.
  3. Bake at 180°C for 6-8 minutes.
