Slow Cooker Cheesy Beef and Potato Gratin

750g Beef Steak Mince
150ml Beef Stock
3 - Carrots (diced)
150g Cheddar Cheese (grated)
4 cloves Garlic (chopped)
0.5tsp Ground Cinnamon
2tsp Mixed Herbs
1tbsp Oil
2 - Onion (sliced)
75g Parmesan Cheese (grated)
1kg Potatoes
3tbsp Red Pesto
1 pinch Salt
2tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 pinch pepper

- 750g Beef Steak Mince
- 150ml Beef Stock
- 3 - Carrots (diced)
- 150g Cheddar Cheese (grated)
- 4 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- 0.5tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 2tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1tbsp Oil
- 2 - Onion (sliced)
- 75g Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1kg Potatoes
- 3tbsp Red Pesto
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 pinch pepper
Method
- Heat a large pan over high heat with a little oil and add in the meat.
- Sear for 3 - 5 minutes until colored. Season with Worcestershire sauce, red pesto, cinnamon, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Remove from the heat.
- Line a slow cooker bowl with about a third of the potatoes.
- Add half of the onion, carrot, and garlic.
- Cover with half of the caramelized minced beef and half of the grated cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layering process with the second third of potatoes and the rest of the onions, beef, and cheese.
- Cover with the last third of the sliced potatoes and sprinkle with the Parmesan and extra dried herbs if desired.
- Drizzle the beef stock over and cover with the lid.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes and beef are fully cooked. Do not open the lid during cooking time.
