This Chardonnay is sourced from our Frasca's Lane Vineyard in Victoria's cool climate King Valley. After picking, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in new and seasoned French oak barrels - where the wine remains for a further 14 months before bottling. The result is a long, complex wine displaying elegant peach, nut and biscuity notes perfectly balanced with crisp acidity.

Nugan Estate Alcira Cabernet Sauvignon (75 cl), €18.99

This rich and soft Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the classic Coonawarra region in South Australia. After fermentation, the wine was matured in new and one year old French oak for 16 months before bottling. As is typical of this signature variety, aromas of cassis, mint and eucalypt followed by a long and complex palate of ripe cassis, mint and rich chocolate with velvety tannins.

Our philosophy is to craft wines that are both ageworthy and fresh. To this end we take great pains to harvest grapes at optimum ripeness, and use minimal interference in the winery, thus allowing the quality of the fruit to speak for itself. The wine is a blend of 40% Carignan which lends both crispness and freshness to the wine, 30% Syrah for structure and body, and finally 30% Grenache for its intense blackberry aromas. The palate displays deep fruit flavours with perfectly balanced acidity and soft tannins, and can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to eight years. Our Dried Grape Shiraz is sourced from premium premium vineyards in the Riverina and McLaren Vale. Once harvested, a parcel of this Shiraz was dried on specialized racks to create flavour intensity and concentration. After fermentation, the wine matured in American and French oak for 18 months, resulting in a hand-crafted wine of quality. Attractive aromas of cherry and plum with dark chocolate, earth, and peppercorn notes, followed by a long and complex palate of black cherry and savoury nuances and smooth velvety tannins.

This Second Pass Shiraz is sourced from our family's premium vineyards in Australia. After fermentation, the wine was pressed onto the pomace and yeast less of our premium "Alfredo" Dry Grape Shiraz adding to the wines' intensity. Thereafter, the wine was matured in French and American oak for 12 months resulting in a wine of concentration and quality. Attractive aromas of rhubarb and cherry with tobacco, dark chocolate and earth are followed by long and complex palate of ripe raspberries and blueberries with dark chocolate and velvety tannins.

Vinification The grapes were harvested in late March, crushed, and fermented at 26°C for 7 days, with a total of 12 days of skin contact. Afterward, the grapes were pressed. Malolactic fermentation took place in French and American oak barrels, where they continue to evolve and gain complexity during a 12-month aging period. Tasting Notes Intensely ruby red Carignan, offering complex notes of black fruits, earthy nuances, and delicate floral hints. Full-bodied with firm tannins, it boasts a long, persistent finish with echoes of chocolate and coffee.

Vinification The grapes in this Red Blend were carefully harvested and vinified. Fermentation took place under controlled temperature conditions between 25 and 27°C to preserve the freshness, smoothness and intensity of aromas. Following fermentation, 50% of the blend was aged in third fill or older French and American oak barrels for six months and the remainder was aged in stainless steel vats to preserve its fruity aromas.
