Montemar Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon (75 cl), €14.99

Nugan Estate Alfredo Second Pass Shiraz (75 cl), €12.00

This Second Pass Shiraz is sourced from our family's premium vineyards in Australia. After fermentation, the wine was pressed onto the pomace and yeast less of our premium "Alfredo" Dry Grape Shiraz adding to the wines' intensity. Thereafter, the wine was matured in French and American oak for 12 months resulting in a wine of concentration and quality. Attractive aromas of rhubarb and cherry with tobacco, dark chocolate and earth are followed by long and complex palate of ripe raspberries and blueberries with dark chocolate and velvety tannins.

Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €12.99

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

When you have some outstanding vineyards, an inherited knowledge from your ancestors and some exceptional Tempranillo grapes, you have no choice but to create AEX. Modern and elegant Rioja wine. Clean in nose, dominated by concentrated fruit well integrated. Once in mouth it is warm and rounded with an intense cherry colour. Nice expression and great persistence that reminds you a lively wine.

Parkville Merlot (75 cl), €7.99

Made from grapes grown in the premium wine producing region of South Eastern Australia. This wine has balanced delicate fruit and intense flavour. The Merlot fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness in the cool of the night to preserve the delicate fruit flavours. Intense, lifted aromas of plum and cherry entwined with hints of spice, herbs and dark chocolate. On the palate, attractive and complex red berry flavours combine with rich, silky tannins on the finish.

Pata Negra Crianza Red Wine - Do Ribera Del Duero (75 cl), €12.00

From the warmest and oldest hills of our vineyards we have selected the best Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes to make this wine in the traditional way, based on the cultural and family knowledge acquired throughout the last 120 years. An ageing process of 12 months minimum in oak barrels has provided this wine with the roundness and balance we were looking for, hoping you can enjoy an excellent wine. Natural sediments may appear over time because of its youth and natural elaboration process.

Wine of great personality with a very appealing and covered cherry red color. It is intense on the nose, excelling the ripe fruit, spices and cocoa aromas from its stay in oak barrel for 36 months. On the palate it is a structured wine, with vivid and well assembled tannins. Long aftertaste, highlighting his round and elegant finish. Great with red meat, game dishes, roasted lamb, vegetables, meats and cheeses.

Using quality barrels gives us just the right amount of oak. In 1770, a group of monks broke the rules of their Order and was exiled to this harsh, rugged region to carry out penance. They soon discovered that the area was perfect for winegrowing and set out to make a wine that would return them to heaven's good graces. They succeeded, or so it seemed. Every year wine inexplicable vanished from the barrels, leaving them half empty. The monks believed that this was how the angels made them pay for their sins. We have now brought back these old Mediterranean varieties to produce Purgatori, which recalls the legend of the angels' wine.
