Malfy Originale is a classic dry style gin made with Italian juniper and five other botanicals and blended with Italy's purest source of mineral water - from the nearby Monviso mountain spring. Gin was invented in Italy in the year 1050 AD by Monks on the Amalfi Coastline - they distilled juniper with spirits in the kitchens of their Monasteries. Malfy Gin Originale is a homage to this invention. The Vergnano Family distill Juniper and four other botanicals and blend it with MonViso Mountain Water taken from a spring in the village of Crissolo (alt. 1,333 m.) to produce a crisp dry gin - delicious on the rocks or in the mountains.

We handpick each barrel, one by one, and blend elegant double-aged rum from Barbados with a smaller quantity of rich, high ester, pot-still Jamaican rum that has been extensivily matured. This precious rum nectar imparts an ancient touch which some aficionados call the "rum funk". In former days out in the Caribbean, it was called the 'Hogo', a term derived from the French Goût', which means 'High Taste'. I learned from an old cellar master that this is the way rum was blended in the 18th and 19th centuries. A.Gabriel, Master Blender Plantation double ageing: (Process def.) Using an ancient technique typical of the golden age of rum, Plantation Original Dark is First Matured in heavily charred American oak barrels in the tropical climate of the Caribbean. Inspired by his pride for Ireland and his love of Irish whiskey, McGregor wanted to create his own whiskey that would match his high standards and make his country proud so he turned to a distillery with a proven history of quality whiskey making. This liquid is special. Conor worked with David Elder, esteemed master distiller of Proper Twelve, previously of Guinness, and together they sampled close to one hundred blends before selecting the final blend, Proper Twelve is a blend of the finest golden grain and single malt. It is complex and sophisticated yet smooth and approachable with hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood. Proper Twelve's name comes from the area that Conor is from called Crumlin, in Dublin district 12. Traders in salt and brandies in La Rochelle, on the Charente coastline, since the 17th century, when the waters of the River Charente were said to be "covered in swans", the Seignette family placed the graceful bird at the heart of their coat of arms. Tasting notes Colour: Pale gold with coppery highlights. Nose: Dried apricot and vanilla with hints of honeysuckle. Palate: Rounded and fleshy. Oaky vanilla notes, without bitterness. A touch of citrus (orange peel) in the long, creamy finish. Overall: Balanced, with all elements in harmony.
