Steve's Dreamy Granola Over the years we have made and eaten a lot of granola in the search for granola Nirvana! Being identical twins, we have always been super-competitive so Steve challenged Dave to see who could come up with the perfect granola recipe. Steve created "Fluffy, Crunchy Granola” (which is a bit like eating sweet, crunchy clouds!). You can find the recipe in our bestselling cookbook, The World of the Happy Pear. Dave's Cocoa Granola Being identical twins, we have always been super-competitive. Breakfast has always been our favourite meal of the day and we could put away a full box of cereal in one sitting! Granola is something we love, and we both think we make the best granola! When Dave was a kid, he always wanted to eat chocolate-tasting cereals for breakfast but mom (thankfully!) wouldn't let him! So, to honour his inner child he created this crunchy cocoa granola. It's really yummy and turns the milk chocolatey too. Cool Jim's Granola Dave was just finishing up a shift cooking in The Happy Pear kitchen when he met a lovely American man called Jim in the cafe. They got chatting and somehow granola came up. Jim was extremely into granola and had made it for years in a healthy hospital in San Francisco. He had the recipe in his head and said to Dave, "Hey man, if the kitchen is free, I'm free for an hour, I can make it with you now. We can see if it's better than Your granola!" So that was it, he came into the kitchen and showed Dave how to do it and this is the basis of our scrumptious recipe! Hence the name "Cool Jim's Granola." We love adding fresh blueberries to ours, why not give it a go!
