Il Capolavoro is created with Italian love, carefully selected to be enjoyed with food and friends. Appassimento wines are created by doing a natural partial dehydration of the grapes, in order to produce a greater concentration of colours, aromas and flavours. This wine has an intense, deep ruby red color with a very fruity, rich, spicy and black pepper nose. The taste is also full of body, very intense and spicy, yet smooth and full of flavours.

Trivento Argentina Malbec (75 cl), €9.00

The name Trivento comes from three winds; Polar, Zonda and Sudestada. It is these winds that make Mendoza such a distinctive and successful wine growing region. A bright crimson red whose plum and raspberry aromas mingle elegantly with vanilla notes from the 6 months spent in French and American Oak. Well balanced, with sweet tannins and a velvety finish, Trivento reserve malbec is ideal with meats and tomato dishes.

Barefoot Merlot is packed with tempting flavours of blackberry, raspberry and chocolate, with a silky smooth finish. Great served with beef, poultry, pasta with tomato sauces, cheese and dessert.

Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €12.99

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Nugan Estate Stomper's Cabernet Sauvignon (75 cl), €12.99

Our cabernet vineyard requires more work than the shiraz and it's become a favorite for the birds as the bunches ripen. Stomper has his hands full indeed. We work hard to stress the soils and slow down the ripening of the cab because it helps achieve the flavors we like so much. Daren Owers, our winemaker, reckons our cabernet is the best in the region and praises Stomper for the work he does in the vineyard. Our fruit is destemmed and pressed before going through a lengthy cold soaking. After fermentation, we macerate on the skins for about 10 days to extract soft tannins and deep, rich flavors. There's never any short cuts on the barrel program and this wine sees only French oak, of which 25% is new. Since there are several different parcels on the vineyard and they're kept separate throughout the entire process, putting the final blend together takes several days and is a major team effort. Were really proud of this and hope you like it. PS - this wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Pata Negra Crianza Red Wine - Do Ribera Del Duero (75 cl), €12.00

From the warmest and oldest hills of our vineyards we have selected the best Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes to make this wine in the traditional way, based on the cultural and family knowledge acquired throughout the last 120 years. An ageing process of 12 months minimum in oak barrels has provided this wine with the roundness and balance we were looking for, hoping you can enjoy an excellent wine. Natural sediments may appear over time because of its youth and natural elaboration process.

Pata Negra Reserva Red Wine - Do Ribera Del Duero (75 cl), €14.00

From the warmest and oldest hills of our vineyards we have selected the best estates to harvest Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes at their optimal point of ripeness, which will provide this wine with complexity and balance. We have recovered our estate's historical 12th century caves, as a witness of vineyard and wine art for generations. An ageing process of 24 months in American and French oak barrels and 12 months in bottle help this wine blossom and conquer the most demanding palates. Natural sediments may appear over time because of its natural elaboration process and ageing in barrel and bottle.
