Loose Leaf Tea Steeping Guide Water: Use fresh water, freshly boiled. Tea leaves: suggested ratio is one teaspoon per cup of water. This can be adjusted according to personal preference. Different types of tea require a different water temperature and infusing time: Black tea: Boiling, 2-3 minutes; Oolong/Puerh Tea: Boiling or 90°C, 2 minutes; White Tea/Green Tea: 65°C - 80°C (for 80°C wait for a couple of minutes after the kettle is boiled), 2-3 minutes; Herbal/Fruit Tea: Boiling, 4-5 minutes.
