Rio Alto is a celebration of the Aconcagua river, the source of life and nourishment for our vines. Its crystal waters flow down to our property where sunlight and clean mountain air help ripen our grapes to perfection. Fermented in stainless steel and polished with a touch of french oak. Aconcagua Valley Alterra wines harness the intensity and flavours of Andes Mountain grapes, producing distinctive wines with varietal characteristics and superb ripeness. This wine was oak-fermented and then barrel-aged for only 3 months. Mixing notes of pear and pineapple with toasted hazelnut, it has a rich texture and a long finish marked by vanilla and mineral notes. Natural spring water from the magnificent Andes Mountains flows through the valley to our vineyard, where "Altitude" and "Terroir" combine to create Alterra sun-filled wines.
