240g Minced lamb
1 tbsp Olive oil
1/2 Onion
1 Carrot
1 Clove garlic
1 tbsp Tomato paste
250ml Beef broth
55g Frozen peas
15g Butter
1 tbsp Milk
1 Slice white cheddar
380g Cooked potatoes

- 250g Minced lamb
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- ½ Onion
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Clove garlic
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 250ml Beef broth
- 55g Frozen peas
- 15g Butter
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1 Slice white cheddar
- 380g Cooked potatoes
- Decoration gravy
Method
- Cook the filling: Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the onion, carrot, and garlic. Cook until softened. Add the minced lamb and brown it. Stir in the tomato paste, then pour in the beef broth. Add frozen peas and let everything simmer until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Fill the baking dish: Divide the meat mixture into the baking dishes, filling each about ¾ full.
- Make the mashed potatoes: Mash the cooked potatoes. Mix in the butter and milk until smooth. Spread a layer of mashed potatoes over each dish and smooth the top.
- Pipe the topping: Using the remaining mashed potatoes, pipe small dollops on top to create a textured “sheep wool” effect.
- Bake: Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
- Decorate the sheep: Cut small pieces of carrot to make eyes and a nose. Add grated or sliced white cheddar for a woolly look. Serve with gravy.
