Simple Mustard & Honey Glazed Ham

Ingredients
1 medium Carrots , halved
1 medium Garlic Cloves , crushed
1 medium Onion , peeled and studded with 3 cloves
2.7 kg SuperValu Signature Tastes Irish Hampshire Ham Fillet
2 sprig Thyme
1 sprig rosemary
3 tbsp Honey
3 tbsp Wholegrain Mustard
Directions
- Place the ham in a large heavy-based saucepan. Add the onion, carrot, garlic, thyme and rosemary.
- Cover the ham with cold water and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and allow to simmer or a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes (about 20 to 25 minutes per 500g).Remove from the heat and allow the ham to cool in its cooking liquid for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, make the glaze by combining the mustard and honey in a small bowl. Preheat the oven to 160ËšC.
- Remove the ham from the cooking liquid. Using a sharp knife, remove the skin from the ham, then score the fat in a criss-cross pattern.
- Spread the glaze over the top of the ham with a spoon. Place the ham on a tray and roast for 15 to 20 minutes, until the glaze is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and loosely cover in foil, allow to rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve warm.
