Preparation & Usage
Just add water & mix You Will Need: 330g Odlums Craft Sourdough Bread Mix 225ml Lukewarm Water Method: 1. Add dry mix to a mixing bowl. Pour in 225ml of lukewarm water. 2. Mix with electric mixer, using the dough hook attachment, on a low speed for 4 minutes and medium speed for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth. 3. Place dough into a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a tea towel. Leave to prove for 50 minutes at room temperature. 4. Remove from bowl and gently mould into a dome shape on a lightly floured surface. 5. Transfer dough to a floured baking tray and lightly cover with cling film. 6. Place in fridge and allow dough to rest for 3 hours. 7. 20 to 30 Minutes before required preheat oven to 240°C/Fan 220°C/460°F/Gas mark 8. 8. After 3 hours remove from fridge. Using a sharp knife cut a cross through the dough. 9. Bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 25-30 minutes until you get a dark brown crust with a hollow base. 10. Turn out onto a wire tray. Cool completely before slicing. Note: As baking characteristics of ovens vary, always check your manufacturers guidelines. Top tip: As the oven heats, place tray filled with water on the bottom shelf. This will generate steam, resulting in a crispy crust.
Storage Guidelines
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store in an airtight container. For Best Before, see back of pack.
