Chateau Manon Des Brumes Sauvignon Blanc (75 cl), €13.00

Château Manon Des Brumes Estate is located in Blaye district. part o the famous ''Cotes of Bordeaux'' AOC appellation. Owned by the family Bantegnies for the last 2 centuries, this beautiful Estate is producing traditional Bordeaux red and white. They have during the last 20 years, consolidating the château's reputation for producing the appellation's foremost wines. Château Manon Des Brumes white goes perfectly with sea food, smoked salmon, grilled fish and cheeses. Wine makers comments: Brilliant colour, clean and fresh nose with hints of menthol leaves. On the palate, fruity fresh and ripe white tropical fruits with hint of white flowers. Good complexity with a long finish.

Finca Labarca Crianza (75 cl), €13.00

This wine has a deep black-cherry colour and an intense bouquet with scents of vanilla, fresh toast and coffee, entwined with notes of red berry fruit and dry plums. On the palate it is silky smooth, structured and complex with well-integrated oak, and a remarkable finish. Variety: 100% Tempranillo / Consumption: Consume between 16 and 18°C. This wine is a natural product and is made with minimal human intervention - it may therefore contain a slight deposit

This is a modern-style Reserva Rioja with intense fruity notes accompanying softer spice notes. The wine is very complex with hints of black-cherry liqueur, well-integrated toast and leather notes from the American and French oak barrels, soft tannins and excellent length. 60% Merlot - 40% Cabernet Sauvignon This exceptional ''terroir cuvée'' is produced from a selection of the oldest vineyards. All the grapes are hand picked and sorted. After a total de-stemming, the long maceration during the vinification is performed under careful temperature control to bring out the best parts of the tannins potential. The wine has been aged in new French casks for 12 months long in the underground cellars of the Château. Winemakers comments: Deep colour, aromas of blackberries and hints of spice. The ageing has given elegance to its rich and tannic structure. Fine and soft with smooth, well integrated tannins on the palate, this full bodied wine deserves its place alongside any Bordeaux Grand Cru.

Today, the lone rider is long gone and the landscape has been transformed by vines but Wally's Hut stands as his legacy. Our sauvignon blanc vineyard is in a rugged cold mountainous area which is not easy to farm but we persevere as it's unique microclimate produces, cracking crisp zesty flavours we love. Daren Owers, our winemaker, reckons this wine is a real stunner and worth the hassle. Our vineyard manager is not so sure! After harvest, we whole bunch press the fruit and then ferment at slow cool temperatures to capture all those delicate natural aromas and flavours. After it settles, straight to the bottle. It's all about the fruit, fresh citrussy flavours in a glass. PS - this wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Cotes Du Rhone Andre Goichot (75 cl), €11.99

Location and terroir Over 200 km, between Vienne and Avignon, the Rhone Valley has the largest regional appellation after Bordeaux, it is also one of the oldest controlled designations of origin. It extends over 163 municipalities divided between six departments (Rhône, Loire, Drôme, Ardèche, Gard and Vaucluse). Our Côtes du Rhône is made with Young vines (less than 20 years old) located in the Vacqueyras appellation area from Stony soil composed of blue marls. Vinification/Aging The grapes are destemmed and vinified in stainless-steel vats for about 10 month revealing all the freshness and subtlety of his aromas. Grapes are: 55% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 35% Syrah. Tasting The robe is clear, ruby, and bright with darker colour reflect due to the Syrah. On the nose reminiscent of small red fruits, with animal or spicy notes or aromas of ripe fruit. It has well-structured but supple tannins. One of our favourite wines at the House of Goichot. Soft, easy drinking red in the classic style wich to us is red and blackberry fruit with a dusting of spice and chocolate notes. Perfect to drink on its own due to the soft warm style but a lovely match for anything from home made burgers to cold meat platters and classic roasts.
