Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €12.99

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

The palate is layered with berry fruit flavours, balanced with rich chocolate undertones, and complemented by fine grained tannins on the finish.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet (75 cl), €12.50

A medium-bodied, sweet fruit crimson-coloured wine. Since 1976 this wine has been 'a real Penfolds red'. A traditional Australian blend combining the expressiveness of Shiraz with the defined structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. This full-bodied wine shows ripe dark fruit aromas, voluminous richness and plentiful tannins. Accompany this wine with lamb dishes, meats with herb seasoning, rich pasta, roasted lamb rack and pork dishes.

La Brutta Zinfandel Petite Sira (75 cl), €12.00

La Brutta; Italian for The Beast. A Bullish wine that packs quite the punch! Hewn from the rich soils of the McLaren Vale and Riverina wine regions of Australia, comes a beast of a wine that takes no prisoners. Blood plum and liquorice notes lead to an intense full-bodied palate. Rich black cherry and mulberry fruit is supported by ripe velvet tannin and lingering notes of mocha.

Nugan Estate McLaren Vale Shiraz (75 cl), €18.99

The McLaren Vale region in South Australia is renowned for its Shiraz and this wine is no exception. After fermentation, the wine was matured for 12 months in new and seasoned French and American oak, creating a rich and full-bodied wine displaying elegant tannins and concentration of juicy plum melded with chocolate, black pepper and earth.
