Preparation & Usage
Two simple steps to the perfect roast chicken! Our Really Easy Chicken is simple, convenient and supremely tasty. Just pierce the film once and pop your Manor Farm Cook in Bag Chicken straight into the oven. That's all there is to it! All appliances vary, the times and temperatures given are guidelines only. For best results refer to manufacturer's guidelines. Cook times are calculated 20 minutes per 454 (lb) plus 20 minutes extra Do Not Remove Chicken from Packaging. Pierce bag where indicated... ...place in oven in a deep roasting tray... ...cut bag open 20 mins before end 1 Pre-heat conventional oven to 200°C/ 400°F / Gas Mark 6. Fan assisted oven to 180°C. For calculated cook time, see front of pack. 2 Pierce the bag where indicated. Place the chicken in its packaging in a deep roasting tray and cook in the centre of the oven for the time indicated on the front of the bag. 3 To brown the chicken: 20 minutes before end of the total 3 cooking time, carefully remove the chicken from the oven and using a pair of scissors cut open the full length of the bag and expose the chicken. Please be careful when removing chicken from the oven and opening the bag as it will contain steam and hot cooking juices. Return to the oven to brown for a further 20 minutes. 4 Allow chicken to stand in the packaging in a warm place for approximately 10 minutes prior to serving. Ensure product is thoroughly cooked before eating. To check product is cooked, insert a skewer into the deepest part of the flesh. If product is cooked, the juices will run clear, if not continue to cook and repeat check as required. Do not reheat. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Please ensure that the bag does not come into contact with an open flame or heating element.
Storage Guidelines
Keep refrigerated between 0°C and +4°C. Do not exceed use by date. If freezing, freeze on the day of purchase. Use within one month of freezing. Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator prior to cooking. Do not refreeze once thawed. Use within 24 hours of defrosting.
