World's Oldest Licensed Whiskey Distillery Found on County Antrim's rugged coastline, the village of Bushmills is home to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Official records stretch back to 1608, when the area was granted its license to distil. Over 400 years later, whiskey is still being made in Bushmills, thanks to experience and craft passed down from generation to generation. We couldn't make our whiskey anywhere but here. Our water, drawn from the River Bush, flows over beds of basalt rock, the same rock that lends its unique character to another famous local attraction - the Giant's Causeway. Bushmills is more than just a whiskey. It's a village, where family, friends and neighbours work side by side at the distillery. As we often say, "without the village, there would be no whiskey and without the whiskey, there would be no village".

A unique whiskey with a perfect balance of spicy, nutty and vanilla notes with hints of sweet sherry. Serving suggestion: Jameson, Ginger & Lime - A simple whiskey drink, it's a thirst quencher that couldn't be easier to make: 50ml of Jameson Irish Whiskey, ginger ale to taste and a wedge of lime. A swapping of whiskey and beer barrels soon after resulted in Jameson Caskmates - Irish whiskey that has been patiently finished in craft beer-seasoned barrels. For Jameson IPA Edition, we have finished Jameson whiskey in craft IPA barrels. The result is a whiskey that features the signature smoothness of Jameson alongside light hints of hops, zesty citrus and fresh floral notes. High above sea level We began our journey at our Atlantic warehouse, 200 feet above sea level by the edge of the ocean. Our journey continues at Clonakilty where all our spirit is matured, blended, and bottled in-house under the watchful eye of our head distiller. Only then can we call it Clonakilty Irish Whiskey. Filtered by nature Using our three majestic copper pot stills, we create an exceptionally elegant new make spirit. This spirit is cut with deep well water which has been perfectly filtered by nature. Our spirit is then filled into carefully chosen casks where it patiently rests in our maturation warehouse as it slowly extracts its wonderful flavours.
