Willow Hill Shiraz Cabernet (75 cl), €8.99

The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are harvested from the best slopes in the vineyards. They then undergo temperature controlled fermentation to preserve the pure fruit character. The wine, once fermented spends some time in oak barrels to add complexity and character to the final wine. The result is a rich full bodied wine with aromas of blackberries, chocolate and spice. The palate is full and round with ripe soft tannins, autumnal fruit, cassis and spicy oak. This is a great all round wine, superb on it own and a great match for traditional roast, tomato based pasta dishes and steak. Enjoy!

Tasting Notes: This wine leads with dark berry and plum aromas on the nose. There is a gentle herbaceous top note, even with a hint of vanilla. The succulent palate is smooth, carrying the berry fruit to a satisfyingly luscious conclusion. 30% Matured in Old French Oak barrels for 18 months.

The Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Note: The bouquet leads with rich dark fruits, followed by savory and roasted coffee. It has velvety tannins and its excellent balance between tannins, acidity and fruitiness shows finesse. This full-bodied wine finishes with lingering dark chocolate and savory flavors. 100% Matured in New French Oak 225litre barrels for 72 months.
