Medalla Real was created in 1983 in honor of the Marqués de Casa Real Francisco García de Huidobro, who established the Chile's first mint and an ancestor of the family that founded Viña Santa Rita. To commemorate the bicentennial of this event. a special medallion was minted that bears his silhouette and the symbol of the Royal Spanish Crown.

Through careful selection, vinification and adeing of their wines, they strive to convey the true terroir of each appellation in the Loire Valley. In this Muscadet they have achieved truly remarkable quality - it has balance and delineation and while its light, fresh, mineral style means it is delicious to drink on its own, it is also perfect with shellfish, particularly oysters.

Tasting Notes: This wine is citrus-forward with undertones of biscotti and nuts. On the palate the acidity is surprisingly racy, but a subtle sweetness prevents it from being overpowering. The flavors are primarily fruity with hints of sweet oak flavors. A layered wine with a crisp finish. 15% Matured in New French Oak barrels for 6 months.

Nugan Estate Alfredo Second Pass Shiraz (75 cl), €14.99

This Second Pass Shiraz is sourced from our family's premium vineyards in Australia. After fermentation, the wine was pressed onto the pomace and yeast less of our premium "Alfredo" Dry Grape Shiraz adding to the wines' intensity. Thereafter, the wine was matured in French and American oak for 12 months resulting in a wine of concentration and quality. Attractive aromas of rhubarb and cherry with tobacco, dark chocolate and earth are followed by long and complex palate of ripe raspberries and blueberries with dark chocolate and velvety tannins.

Nugan Estate Manuka Grove Durif (75 cl), €18.99

Winemaking Durif is a rich and robust red grape variety that revels in the warm and dry conditions of Manuka Grove at Hanwood, New South Wales. Upon reaching optimum ripeness, the parcel was harvested and destemmed without crushing, to retain whole berry during ferment. Fermentation was undertaken in rotary fermenters, which were rolled twice daily for 8 days ahead of pressing to new and seasoned American oak hogsheads for maturation. Winemaker's Comments Deep garnet in appearance with youthful crimson hue. Aromas of dark cherry and blood plum over milk chocolate oak. The palate displays rich and generous flavours of black cherry, plum pudding and dark chocolate melded with earth and vanillin notes. The final result is a delicious, full bodied red wine with generous fruit intensity, balance and structure.

Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €8.28

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
