Nugan Estate Manuka Grove Durif (75 cl), €12.00

Winemaking Durif is a rich and robust red grape variety that revels in the warm and dry conditions of Manuka Grove at Hanwood, New South Wales. Upon reaching optimum ripeness, the parcel was harvested and destemmed without crushing, to retain whole berry during ferment. Fermentation was undertaken in rotary fermenters, which were rolled twice daily for 8 days ahead of pressing to new and seasoned American oak hogsheads for maturation. Winemaker's Comments Deep garnet in appearance with youthful crimson hue. Aromas of dark cherry and blood plum over milk chocolate oak. The palate displays rich and generous flavours of black cherry, plum pudding and dark chocolate melded with earth and vanillin notes. The final result is a delicious, full bodied red wine with generous fruit intensity, balance and structure.

Nugan Estate McLaren Vale Shiraz (75 cl), €12.00

The McLaren Vale region in South Australia is renowned for its Shiraz and this wine is no exception. After fermentation, the wine was matured for 12 months in new and seasoned French and American oak, creating a rich and full-bodied wine displaying elegant tannins and concentration of juicy plum melded with chocolate, black pepper and earth.

Traditional winemaking techniques and an eye to modern styles allow us to create wines that are synonymous with the regions they are from. Rich, honest wines that showcase the regions in their most natural light. Rich red in colour with purple hues, this wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums with hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich, round and soft with concentrated berry fruits and soft velvety tannins.

Dark plum and blackcurrant flavours, subtle oak and fine tannins combine in a rich, full flavoured wine with perfect balance and a lingering finish.
