A liquid ode to our past, 19 Crimes is inspired by those who, beginning in 1788, were transported to Australia for a life of hard labour. Many did not survive the journey. For the sea-beaten people who made it ashore, a new world awaited. As pioneers in a harsh frontier colony, they forged fresh pathways and built new lives from their chequered pasts, brick by brick. This wine honours the history they wrote and the culture they built.

Nugan Estate Bossy Boots' Sauvignon Blanc (75 cl), €12.99

Our sauvignon blanc vineyard is in a rugged cold mountainous area which is not easy to farm but we persevere as it's unique microclimate produces, cracking crisp zesty flavours we love. Daren Owers, our winemaker, reckons this wine is a real stunner and worth the hassle. Our vineyard manager is not so sure! After harvest, we whole bunch press the fruit and then ferment at slow cool temperatures to capture all those delicate natural aromas and flavours. After it settles, straight to the bottle. It's all about the fruit, fresh citrussy flavours in a glass. PS - this wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Third Generation Chardonnay (75 cl), €10.00

Low yielding vineyards have produced the fruit for this wine, that has been handled carefully to ensure we achieve great freshness and flavors. Our Chardonnay is pale straw in appearance. White stone fruit entwined with grapefruit and ginger spice, leads to a palate with superfine acidity and superb balance.
