1 Apple (100g), Grated

  • 230g Gem Self-Raising Flour
  • 180g Gem Gourmet Sultanas
  • 1 Apple (100g), Grated
  • 20ml Milk

Method

  1. Line a 2lb loaf tin with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan.
  3. For the cake, beat the butter and sugar together until soft.
  4. Gradually add the eggs and vanilla, mixing between each addition.
  5. Add in the sieved flour and mix.
  6. Dust the sultanas in 1 tablespoon of flour and add to the mix.
  7. Finally, add the grated apple, milk, and mix to combine.
  8. Spoon the mixture into the tin and bake for 50 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before slicing.
