Our winter Mackerel are caught in the cold, nutrient-rich waters of the North Atlantic between November and February. During this time the Mackerel are in peak condition, making them between 30% to 50% more valuable than Mackerel caught at other times of the year. Each winter these Mackerel undertake an epic migratory journey, swimming from the north of Shetland in October to the west coast of Ireland, where they arrive in March to spawn. Mackerel are landed and processed within hours to ensure maximum freshness and quality.
