Il Capolavoro is created with Italian love, carefully selected to be enjoyed with food and friends. Appassimento wines are created by doing a natural partial dehydration of the grapes, in order to produce a greater concentration of colours, aromas and flavours. This wine has an intense, deep ruby red color with a very fruity, rich, spicy and black pepper nose. The taste is also full of body, very intense and spicy, yet smooth and full of flavours.

This Hunter's Peak Reserve wine is made from the classic grapes Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lucky Rooster Red (75 cl), €8.00

The wine is produced in Portugal's Peninsula de Setúbal, a warm maritime coastal region south of Lisbon, where the grapes are harvested during the least hot periods of the day, arriving to the winery fresh and intact. The grapes are then chosen and distributed according to the characteristics that the winemaking team. Desires. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats after a long period of pellicular maceration. Tasting Notes Dark red colour. Round and exuberant on the palate, there is a delectable allure to the blackberry, plum, currant leaf and oak- derived flavours on the palate. Food Pairing Suggestion Ready to drink. A smooth medium-bodied Merlot with notes of cherries and licorice, complemented by subtle touches of vanilla and toffee. Silky from the beginning with elegant and balanced finish. Fresh black fruit makes this wine very balanced and pleasant.

Nugan Estate Scruffy's Shiraz (75 cl), €9.00

Scruffy works hard to keep our Shiraz bunches tight and our berries small and yields very low at around 4 tons per acre, which annoys our accountant. Daren Owers, our winemaker, insists on bunch sorting at harvest to make sure we only use the very best clusters. Most of the fruit is destemmed and pressed while a small portion is whole berry fermented. All parcels are kept separate during the winemaking process in our state of the art winery. We use a lot of smaller tanks as a result which is difficult, but necessary for the production of a quality wine. Pump overs and extended maceration times give us color and richness. We work with the best coopers and use a combination of French and American oak to mature this wine - 25% of which is new. Bench blending takes forever - there are so many variables and we return the final cuvee to tank for several months to come together before bottling. It's a lot of work and we really hope you enjoy the result. PS - This wine was sustainably farmed and produced in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

The name Trivento comes from three winds; Polar, Zonda and Sudestada. It is these winds that make Mendoza such a distinctive and successful wine growing region. A bright crimson red whose plum and raspberry aromas mingle elegantly with vanilla notes from the 6 months spent in French and American Oak. Well balanced, with sweet tannins and a velvety finish, Trivento reserve malbec is ideal with meats and tomato dishes.
