The Ned Sauvignon Blanc displays punchy aromatics of lemon and lime citrus with undertones of juicy tropical fruits. Plush on the palate, showing juicy grapefruit freshness with lively acidity carrying these classical Waihopai Valley characters to a lengthy finish. You will not go amiss with flavours that complement the distinct varietal character in this Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - a style that has a real sense of place. Think seafood and fresh harvested salads loaded with herbs. Try scallops sautéed in garlic butter with a slash of lemon, accompanied by a rocket and herb salad topped with fresh goat’s cheese. Crafted to be enjoyed at the peak of its vibrancy and freshness, we recommend drinking this wine within 2 - 3 years of vintage date.

Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc (75 cl), €10.00

We take our name from Brancott Vineyard, the heart of the Marlborough wine growing region, but source fruit from up and down the East Coast, where this little beauty is from. Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc (75 cl), €35.00

The freerun juice was cold settled, before racking and inoculation with selected yeast. Fermentation was carried out primarily in stainless steel tanks, with around 1.5% of the blend fermented at warmer temperatures in large format oak vats. A portion was also fermented using wild yeast to build texture and complexity. As usual, our Sauvignon Blanc was blended stringently to include only the best; in 2024 we tasted 81 different portions, of which 55 were selected to create the final blend.
