Chateau Haut Medou Bordeaux Superieur (75 cl), €10.00

Winemakers for generations, Family Sorges acquired Château Haut Médou in 1957. They started with only 6 hectares of vineyards and extended to more than 200 hectares in Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. Château Haut Médou has a deep red colour, with a rich nose of black fruits aromas. On the palate this wine has a well-balanced evolution with velvety mature tannins.

Chateau Pey La Tour Bordeaux (75 cl), €9.99

Owned by Dourthe since 1990, château pey la tour is located on a magnificent terroir, enhanced by exemplary levels of vineyard management setting the standard within the Bordeaux appellation. Stunning garnet in colour, on the nose the wine is defined by red fruit notes. Soft and remarkably well-balanced, this wine reveals attractive lingering aromatics on the finish.

They have during the last 20 years, consolidating the château's reputation for producing the appellation's foremost wines. 60% Merlot - 40% Cabernet Sauvignon This exceptional ''terroir cuvée'' is produced from a selection of the oldest vineyards. All the grapes are hand picked and sorted. After a total de-stemming, the long maceration during the vinification is performed under careful temperature control to bring out the best parts of the tannins potential. The wine has been aged in new French casks for 12 months long in the underground cellars of the Château. Winemakers comments: Deep colour, aromas of blackberries and hints of spice. The ageing has given elegance to its rich and tannic structure. Fine and soft with smooth, well integrated tannins on the palate, this full bodied wine deserves its place alongside any Bordeaux Grand Cru.
