Kevin's Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients

1. 1 Cinnamon Stick

2. 1 Cooking Apple

3. 50 g Muscovado Sugar ​

4. 1 Onion sliced ​

5. 100 ml Port

6. 1 Red Cabbage halved, cored and shredded.

7. 300ml Red Wine

8. 1 pinch Salt and Pepper

9. 50g Sultanas

10. 3 tbsp SuperValu Signature Tastes Cranberry and Port Relish

Directions

1. In a large saucepan, place the onions, half of the red cabbage, apple, brown sugar, sultana, cinnamon, port and red wine. Stir in the relish and season with salt & pepper.

2. Cover the pan with a lid and over a very low heat, bring to the boil. Then reduce the heat and cook for 60-80 minutes.

3. Set aside until needed or if prepared in advance place into an airtight container and store in the freezer.
